Cymbals[1] are objects in Super Mario Galaxy 2 and its Nintendo Switch port. They appear exclusively in the Cloudy Court Galaxy. When they are ground-pounded, both sides slam together and 25 Star Bits are produced. Like many other objects that can be manipulated with a Ground Pound, cymbals have the Ground Pound symbol on them. After the two sides are slammed together, the cymbals do not open up again and serve no further purpose except as a platform. There is only one pair of cymbals in the entire game, appearing next to the first Launch Star in the Cloudy Court Galaxy.

The second Green Star in the Cloudy Court appears next to the Cymbals, requiring the player to Long Jump off the cymbals to collect the star.
